Prime Day, Babysitting, & Lola
The past few weeks have been crazy for me and my team at work as we prepare with our clients for Prime Day. We got to enjoy the fruits of our labors as we continuously refreshed sales reports and ad budgets throughout the day and saw increases in page traffic and sales as more customers visited and purchased from Amazon. I also participated for the first time and finally signed up for a Prime membership. After getting made fun of for years for not having a Prime account I finally have one and it is a game changer. My mom and I found several deals including new pillows, pots and pans and an outdoor projector. I know many people have mixed opinions on Amazon but I am definitely grateful for it because as my dad famously repeats it has "kept us in a manner we have become accustomed to." Without it I wouldn't have a career or the convenience of online shopping.
The highlight of my week was watching Sloane and Dempsey one day while Casey was at work and Amanda was at girls camp. I was surprised and so happy to see the way they immediately took to and loved playing with Bridger. Dempsey seriously became his shadow. He loves playing Tibey-man (Spiderman) and he said Bridger was Rhino and would continuously try to tackle and "put him in a closet" like jail. Such a funny kid. We swam, ate homemade luncables with fun cookie cutters, played lots of games and watched Mr. Peabody and Sherman. Bridger is going to be an awesome uncle one day.
To round out the week Jaden and I met up with Landon and Mady to go to dinner in Salt Lake at a new up and coming Mexican restaurant called Lola. Female Foodie is a local food blogger that has expanded her recommendations in big cities across the country and she hasn't failed to disappoint us yet. Her review of Lola was promising and we all walked away saying we would be back again. For some reason I am a giant fan of guac right now and their guacamole was awesome. My tacos were also delicious and truly the only complaint was that the watermelon salad we ordered as an appetizer took forever to make because they were backed up on orders so we ended up getting it at the very end and it was basically a dessert. It was still good though and the presentation and vibe of everything was on point. After dinner we walked up the street to Spilled Milk. I didn't take the advice of Mady and do a kid's cone and mine was seriously humongous. By the time I was done it still didn't even look like I had made a dent in it. Overall it was a fun night out and we seriously wake up every day grateful to be back home making memories with the people we love the most!
Peaches
- Found this cute picture of me and Bridge taken at my Grandma Moyle's house on a swing they had hung on one of the poles where they had laundry lines hung to dry clothes
- Robyn had me and my mom over for nachos and delicious strawberry lemonade. I love being neighbors with her again!
- My new pillows came and I have to say Coop is worth the hype. It's about time Jaden and I invested in good pillows and these have been great so far. I love that you can adjust the fluff level and the outer layer zips off to wash.
